I can’t go a day without my face mist! Even though my face is oily throughout the day, it turns out that when I blot the oils, my face is just super dehydrated so the oil is compensating for the dryness.

Whether I’m setting my makeup or giving my skin a quick refresh, hydrating face mists adds moisture and leaves my skin looking dewy. I even keep one in my bag for mid day hydration, it’s like a convenient mini spa experience whenever I need it.

Soothing Irritated Skin

Ingredients like aloe vera and rose water are known for their calming properties, making hydrating face mists beneficial for sensitive or irritated skin.

Makeup Setting and Refreshing

Beyond hydration, certain mists can help set makeup and refresh the skin throughout the day, maintaining a radiant look.

Product Recommendation

This is not sponsored, but I really like using this affordable sunscreen called RE: CIPE CRYSTAL SUN SPRAY, it triples as a fixing spray, hydrating face mist, and sunscreen mist. How cool is that! And I noticed it can also be sprayed on before makeup as primer.

Evian Facial Spray, Avene Thermal Spring Water, and Mario Badescu Facial Spray with Aloe, Herbs, and Rosewater is also a great choice. They’re ideal for sensitive skin and a classic choice for on the go hydration.

Final Thoughts

While some people said that sunscreen mists aren’t effective for sun protection just because it doesn’t show up on UV camera, it’s important to note that it’s a marketing gimmick. Some effective high quality lightweight sunscreens doesn’t show up on UV camera itself.

To maximize the benefits of hydrating face mists, consider spraying it after cleansing, before makeup and throughout the day.

After Cleansing: To lock in moisture and prepare the skin for subsequent products.

Before Makeup: As a primer to create a smooth base.

Throughout the Day: For a quick refresh, especially in air-conditioned environments.
