Why These 3 Hydrating Lipsticks Are Must Haves in 2025

I’ve always been a sucker for buttery moisturizing lip products. The way the product glides on my lips is so satisfying. I’m a girlie who LOVES to reapply. While some people chase pigment or longevity, I chase one thing: moisture. Today I’m rating my three go to lippies that lives rent free in my bag ♡♡♡.

Gegebear in 02 💋 – 8/10

Gegebear is a rising indie brand known for cute packaging and K beauty inspired formulas, the 02 shade is often called the “morning dew lip.” The color is a really fresh, dewy and a little youthful soft coral pink.

I love how juicy it feels at first swipe, but beware, it tends to trace every natural line in your lips after a long day. So it’s best worn after prepping your lips with a lip scrub and a nice lip balm of your choice. After a few minutes, gently wipe off the lip balm and apply this lipstick as usual.

Pinkflash Lip Gloss in NU01 💋 – 9/10

Pinkflash is a sister brand of Focallure, and this gloss went viral for its luxury dupe claims, some say it’s a Fenty dupe on a budget. This lip gloss is very glossy but very sticky too. The shade i own of this is a neutral pink color and gives off the effect of your lips but dewy.

Despite being the stickiest, she’s the one I grab when I want that picture perfect glossy lips. Kissable? Not unless you want your kiss to turn into a glue trap (lol). Might be gone after a meal, but it’s okay. As the saying goes ” Lipstick lasts longer but gloss is more fun. ” – Miss Serena from Gossip Girl.

MAC Lipstick in 104 Cosmo 💋 – 10/10

As we all know, MAC produced the best of lipsticks, but might break your bank too. MAC’s Amplified finish is known for intense pigmentation and moisture. This lipstick is buttery textured with a satin finish. The color I’m using is a muted pinky brown nude, which is a very versatile lip color that can go with many makeup looks.

Out of the three, this is the most wearable on crusty lip days. It glides like a dream and doesn’t highlight flakes. It feels almost like a lip balm too. The texture feels very creamy and smooth on my lips. This lipstick also never runs out. It’s definitely one of those products you’ll treat like an investment.

Final Thoughts

If my lips could talk, they’d probably beg for MAC Cosmo on dry days, flirt with Pinkflash for nights out, and turn to Gegebear when they’re feeling soft and poetic. But when it comes to that non sticky, buttery kiss of hydration? Cosmo reigns supreme in my little lip queendom.
